Tips για βλεφαρίδες!

• Αποφύγετε τη χρήση ψαλιδιού κάνει τις βλεφαρίδες γυριστές, καθώς τις «σπάει».
• Μην χρησιμοποιείτε παλιά μάσκαρα , καθώς έχει ξεραθεί καθώς οι βλεφαρίδες σας θα κολλήσουν μεταξύ τους. Χρησιμοποιούμε πάντα προϊόντα μακιγιάζ που έχουμε αγοράσει πρόσφατα.

Έτσι, οι εταιρείες διασφαλίζουν την καλή ποιότητα των προϊόντων ακόμη και κάτω από δύσκολες καταστάσεις.
Αν, λοιπόν, είχατε τα καλλυντικά σας κλεισμένα μέσα σε κάποιο νεσεσέρ, μία τσάντα ή κάτι ανάλογο σε ζεστό περιβάλλον δεν υπάρχει λόγος να τα πετάξετε. Δυστυχώς δεν ισχύει το ίδιο στην περίπτωση που τα αφήνατε εκτεθειμένα στην ηλιακή ακτινοβολία. Αυτή μειώνει την απόδοση των συστατικών, όπως είναι τα αντιοξειδωτικά. Προνοήσατε και τα βάζατε αμέσως στο νεσεσέρ σας ή όχι; Θυμηθείτε και φερθείτε ανάλογα, κρατώντας μόνο όσα συνεχίζουν να είναι αποτελεσματικά.

Τη σεζόν που διανύουμε η δημιουργία σχήματος στα φρύδια -ανάλογα με το τι ταιριάζει στην καθεμία- είναι στα πρώτα ζητούμενα. Δεν έχει καμία σημασία αν το στυλ είναι ανδρόγυνο ή έντονα θηλυκό. Η ανάγκη των φρυδιών υπάρχει με νέα σχήματα και χρώματα και εξελίσσεται συνεχώς.

Η ίδια επιμελήθηκε το μακιγιάζ σε show δίνοντας διαφορετικό αποτέλεσμα στο καθένα με έμφαση όμως πάντα στα φρύδια. Στον Calvin Klein τα φρύδια ήταν καλοβαλμένα, σκούρα, φυσικά σχηματισμένα που υποστήριζαν τις έντονα βαμμένες βλεφαρίδες ολοκληρώνοντας το μίνιμαλ make-up look.
Στον Versace ήταν ωραία περιποιημένα ώστε να προβάλλουν cool αυτοπεποίθηση και ακραία θηλυκότητα, στoν J. Mendel, τα έντονα θηλυκά σχήματα τονίστηκαν με γήινες σκιές στο πάνω μέρος των ματιών και στον Balenciaga o σουρεαλισμός είχε τη θέση του στα φρύδια των μοντέλων.

Two of his newer offerings are no exception. Face Fabric Radiance (41euro) is a brightening makeup that creates luminosity with the glow of silver and mother of pearl. Chanel Christmas 2011: Les Scintillances Des Chanel

Another predictably lust-worthy collection from Chanel is incoming on November 4th and it’s for Christmas (yes, sorry again, and yes, I do know it’s still September).  Les Scintillances Des Chanel is the name of the lineup and it’s all based around gold, black and red. Everything is limited, so if you want something, then you know the drill – get it on launch, because it won’t hang about.
And I guess I better stop waffling and show you the pix, hadn’t I?

Mmm. Scrammy, eh?
Now, lets have an up close and personal look at the lot.

This is Lumière Sculptée Highlighting Powder, €55, and it’s the undisputed star of the show. Inspired, apparently, by a belt buckle Coco Chanel herself once wore in the 1930s, it’s a sheer, golden flecked powder. For face there’s also Poudre Universelle Libre in Feerie, €41.50, a gold-strewn pink loose powder which you can see in the second of the collection shots above.

One of the really exciting things for eyes is Ligne Extreme, €27.50, a golden liquid liner for use on the upper or lower lash line. Three shadows join it: Ombre Essentielle soft touch eyedshadow in Blazing Gold and Beige Lamé, €26, plus an Ombre Contraste Duo in Noire-Ivoire, €36.50. These shadow singles and duos have found much favour on the blog before – I love the duos and xgirl has much fondness for the singles.

Makeup Foundation

Have you ever had the urge to run up to someone and blend in their foundation? Have you ever been distracted by, just plain bad makeup? We have all had these moments and probably have been the brunt of a few stares ourselves. Perhaps the problem lies not with the makeup, but with the lack of knowledge and purpose of the makeup. And who can place blame? There are so many foundations from which to choose; liquid, cream, cream to powder, mineral, hypoallergenic, and the list goes on.
Foundation and Its Purpose
  Foundation is exactly as the word implies : it is the foundation (basis) for a beautiful face. The purpose of foundation is to even out the skin tone and hide imperfections. Its purpose is not to disguise the face, draw attention to inevitable flaws, or even shock the viewers. It is the primer for which to showcase the features that we most adore.
Types of Foundation
  Foundation comes in three basic forms; liquid, cream, and powder. Given these three forms, combinations arise such as moose foundation, cream to powder foundation, mineral foundation, and tinted moisturizer.
  Foundations may also come with specialized formulas to fit the needs of specific skin types. For instance, foundations are made for sensitive skin, oily skin, and dry skin. There are foundations for rosacea, birthmarks, and scars.
  With so many types of foundations to choose, let's begin with the basics: liquid, cream, and powder.

Liquid
  Liquid foundations are wonderful because they are easy to apply and are very natural looking. Liquid foundations offer medium coverage. They are well suited for dry skin types because of the high moisture content. Look for liquid foundations that are oil free. Brands like Clinique and Clarins have a selection of foundations formulated to meet most skin types.

 

Cream Foundation
  Cream foundation offers excellent coverage that is milky and flawless. Cream foundations come in a compact or stick. They are convenient and quick to apply. Cream foundations are so versatile that they can be used as a corrector. With a high moisture content, the cream foundation is a perfect choice for dry skin. Look for creams that contain moisturizer for a smooth finish. Arbonne stick foundation provides botanical ingredients to improve the quality of the skin. A promising product to try is Cover FX . This cream foundation comes in a compact and is recommended by dermatologists for rosacea and acne.

 

Powder Foundation/Cream to Powder Foundations
  Powder foundation can be found in a loose powder form or in a compressed powder form. Powders are often used as a quick foundation fix for a face that needs just a slight evening out or to set the makeup already in place. It is an excellent choice for oily skin or for makeup in high humidity. Powder foundation is also available in a cream to powder form. This type of foundations combines the smoothness and flawless coverage of a cream with the fast drying and setting of a powder. It is a terrific foundation for someone with combination skin or someone with time restrictions. Every minute saved does count.

 

Choosing a Foundation
  Equally important in choosing the form of foundation, is deciding upon the color.   Most women are well-suited to yellow-based foundations. A yellow based foundation neutralizes pink or red undertones. Using a pink based foundation will make the skin appear too pink if you already have pink undertones. A blue based foundation may cause skin with blue undertones to look ashy.
  It is best to invest in a quality foundation from a cosmetic consultant instead of a drug store brand. You will want to test the foundation before purchasing. Apply the foundation the lower part of the cheek and allow it to dry. It should invisible, or nearly. Remember: The purpose is to even out skin tone. Leave the color to the rouge, shadow, and correctors.
Applying Foundation
  1. Use your finger or a sponge when applying foundation.
  2. Divide the face in half and use a method called "combing the face" to apply the foundation. Distribute the foundation on the cheek area and distribute in a downward motion towards the jaw line and neck and then upward towards the hairline. I use this method to eliminate a line of demarcation around the jaw line and hairline. Using this method also lessens the amount a foundation used on the neck, saving trips to the cleaners.
  3. Set the foundation with translucent powder, pressed or loose, to give a matte, shine free finish. Loose powder will give a sheer, more natural look.
  4. Pressed powder can be applied throughout the day to freshen up the makeup or help control shine.

Kate Moss Lipsticks for Rimmel

It's been ten years since Kate Moss first started fronting campaigns for Rimmel and to celebrate Rimmel threw a party at Battersea Power Station last week to kick off London Fashion Week, to mark the decade of Kate and Rimmel, Kate Moss collaborated with Rimmel by creating a series of lipsticks to mark the 10 year event which have just launched in store. I have four of the lipsticks designed by Kate Moss. Here's what they look like...

The lipsticks don't have names, instead they are identified by numbers (from left to right here, number 1, 2, 3 and 4) as part of the 'Kate' collection.  I have to say I am so impressed with the lipsticks, I have mostly been wearing number 1, the red one, which is also the one that Kate wears in the adverts - it is fantastic. It is such a gorgeous red which I think captures Kate's style down to a t, it is the one that reminds me of her most in the collection, and it is brilliant for a simple and instant red slick of colour in the perfect shade. The lipsticks are designed to have a lasting finish and they certainly do last, I found that the highly pigmented colour remains and they don't shed or at all looks messy after a while of wearing them. Of course bright and colourful lipsticks do need to be reapplied after eating and drinking and so on but they really do last well.

They have a gorgeous and glossy texture that feels moisturising and comfortable on the lip, whilst staying firmly in place. They also smell great so it is a pleasure to wear them. The colour range is beautiful and extra appealing purely because these are shades that Kate Moss has chosen, definitely helping you on your way to get 'the London look' (!)

The packaging is a chic matte black with the classic Rimmel crown on top, but also Kate's signature on the side, adding a personal and identifiable touch. I like the simplicity of the packing, yet it also makes a statement and becomes recognisable because of the signature. Perfect for the uber-cool lipstick range.

A drugstore gem: Maybelline New York The Falsies Volume Express Mascara. This one shown in pic below is in Blackest Black. My lashes are long, full, and curled in an instant. The brush is very user friendly and the kind I like. It really grabs the lashes with comfort. Once again Maybelline proves to us  that you don’t have to spend a lot pf money for a runway/Hollywood material mascara.I really love it!!!This is the 1 4 lashes!

Lancome Hypnôse Doll Lashes Mascara

My lashes are loving the NEW Lancome Hypnôse Doll Lashes mascara in SO BLACK! The first thing I’ve notices within seconds of application is curled lashes which is quite difficult to achieve with some mascaras I’ve tried. I also like the brush it’s kinda shaped like a triangle and seems to follow a natural eye shape. The tip of the triangle fits the closer to inner eye lashes and the wider end of the triangle fits the end lashes and is thicker which gives you that Doll lashes effect. I’ve always been a Lancome mascara fan, they truly are the classic when it comes to lashes and mascara.

I’m a girl all about the eye makeup. New Matchmaster Foundation 2011

The new line offers medium coverage with a demi-matte finish designed to even out skin tones and mask imperfections, yet — drum roll, please — still look like real skin, yay! The ol’ bare-skin-but-better motif.
The secret ingredient? Spheres. No, not the cheesy movie starring Sam Jackson and Sharon Stone. These spheres belong to MAC’s Patented Pigment Technology, which squeezes pigments into tiny translucent spheres.
For traditional high-coverage foundations, companies use a mix of iron oxide and titanium dioxide-based red, yellow, white and black pigments to find matches for different skin tones, but it’s not a perfect science. Some formulations leave skin looking dull, or like it’s wearing a mask, and appearances can vary widely depending on the undertones in a wearer’s skin.
That’s where Matchmaster Foundation SPF 15 is supposed to come in. Clear acrylate spheres encapsulate micro-fine iron oxide and titanium dioxide pigments. When light hits the surface of these spheres, it enters and refracts, combining the undertones in the skin with a mix of micro fine pigments that should appear more natural to the naked eye.
